Founded in 1994 by Prof. Dr. Dr. Dietmar Lerche, LUM GmbH is a Berlin-Germany-based development, production, and service corporation with global reach.

Products & Services

Modern tech utilizes nanomaterials in diverse fields like medicine, pharmaceuticals, biotech, cosmetics, construction, and microelectronics. For producing, modifying, and applying nanoparticles (e.g., spheres, nanotubes), understanding parameters like number, concentration, size distribution, and density is crucial. Dispersibility, hydrodynamic density, elasticity, and interactions (e.g., Hansen parameters) must be considered.

Long-term factors like separation stability, colloidal stability, and preventing aggregation matter. Magnetic properties of nanoparticles necessitate studying external magnetic field influences. LUM provides various analyzers for particle and dispersion analysis.

Coatings may include (modified) nanoparticles, and plasma coatings can be nanostructured. Adhesion promoters may also incorporate nanoparticles. LUM's multi-sample adhesion analyzer quantifies adhesion strengths for various coatings on diverse substrates.

LUMiSizer® Dispersion Analyser

LUMiSizer measures up to 12 samples simultaneously at 4-60 °C with up to 2300 times the earth's gravity. Unique: particle velocities can be determined without material characteristics. Analyze diverse systems, test concentration, shape and colloidal forces for particle size distribution and stability.
